Working to Promote Professionalism in Ontario Archaeology

Home

The Association of Professional Archaeologists (APA) seeks to integrate the concerns of archaeologists in Ontario from all avenues of employment including:
  • administration
  • conservation and lands management
  • curation
  • consulting
  • education
  • research
  • teaching

The APA also seeks to ensure that issues and practices affecting archaeological resources, including meaningful engagement with Indigenous Peoples, are conducted within a commonly recognized set of standards.

We encourage all archaeologists (professionals, researchers, students) and all Indigenous consultation staff and archaeological liaisons to become members of the APA.
