Laura McRae - Senior Project Manager, Ganawendan Aki Environmental
Laura is a Red River Métis archaeologist and project manager specializing in cultural resource management within northern and remote regions of Ontario and Manitoba. With over two decades of experience, she leads projects that balance development requirements with the responsible stewardship of archaeological and cultural landscapes.
Her work is grounded in strong relationships with Indigenous communities and a commitment to collaborative, community-informed approaches. Laura brings a leadership style that emphasizes clarity, accountability, and respect for both cultural values and regulatory frameworks.
Laura is an active member of the Manitoba Métis Federation (MMF), the Registry of Professional Archaeologists (RPA), the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals (CAHP), the Canadian Archaeological Association (CAA), and the Manitoba Archaeology Society (MAS).
